    Abstract:

The distributed optical fiber acoustic wave sensing (DAS) is a new kind of optical fiber acoustic sensing technology. Its mechanism is that the acoustic signal generates a weak deformation on the distributed optical fiber, which causes the change of the refractive index of the optical fiber. Light produces coherent effects during transmission. DAS is not sensitive to quadrature component signals. It is difficult to detect such signals with the straight horizontal optical fiber. In this article, the sensitivity of DAS detection acoustic signal detection is mainly studied. The ANSYS simulation software is utilized to analyze the sound field′s ability to perceive acoustic signals of different physical models. The best solution of the physical model structure is analyzed, a physical model with high sound perception ability is formulated. Experimental results show that the signal amplitude is increased by 3. 94% on average. After signal demodulation and denoising processing, it is concluded that the designed special optical fiber high-sensing structure can effectively achieve better acoustic signal acquisition quality.
